About
Prof. Tushar Kanti Mandal is a Assistant Professor of Structural Engineering in the Department of Civil Engineering at IIT Bombay, India.

As an Assistant Professor at IIT Bombay, I lead the Computational Physics and Materials Engineering Lab. Our research explores the frontiers of computational mechanics, multi-physics modelling, and intelligent material systems, with applications in fracture mechanics, corrosion, hydrogen embrittlement, and additive manufacturing. I am passionate about building high-impact, interdisciplinary research that bridges fundamental science with real-world engineering challenges. Through advanced simulations, high-performance computing, and collaborative innovation, I aim to push the boundaries of materials and mechanics while mentoring the next generation of researchers and engineers.
